Speed dating is where men and women have a number of “mini-dates” that last only a few minutes, giving them only a short time to decide whether they would like to go on a proper date with that person. At the end of the mini-date, the men and women must check a box on a card to indicate whether or not they would like to see the other person again.
Todd and his research colleagues say speed-dating events are a “microcosm where mate choices are made sequentially in a faster and more formalized fashion than in daily life.

Jackson Featured review What is your overall opinion of this school? IUPUI was not my primary choice, nor do I believe was it a primary choice for a majority of its currently enrolled students. What is your overall opinion of this school? Although I cannot scrutinize the academic provisions of this university, I can certainly degrade its political atmosphere and social life.
IUPUI’s faculty and student body portray an extremely biased political agenda, that exudes support for liberal ideologies, but is highly intolerant of other perspectives. They take pride in their open minded culture; however, they are not nearly as open minded as they claim. If a student were to advocate any type of conservative agenda, or even vocalize an opinion that acts in opposition to popular liberal values, they are not only scrutinized heavily by students, but almost harrassed.
I’ve learned already, from witnessing various confrontations around campus, that it is better to keep my mouth shut regarding social and political topics. It’s disheartening that I feel that uncomforatbilility, as I know there are a great abundance of students who feel a similar way. Tolerance and compassion goes both ways, and that is a philosophy this University does not publicly preach enough.
